Your Hosts

We’re Colin and James.

You’ll have to guess who’s who. Married couple, one’s a mortician and the other is a mechanic.

Although we come from different backgrounds, we’re both Chicago area natives and have a lot of civic pride. We value the history, diversity, and integrity that makes our Metropolis one the most beautiful places to live in the U.S.

Colin is lucky enough to have traveled much of the world at a young age and has been able to bring that unique experience into our home. Much of our collection comes from those travels years ago. Aside from the countless books we’ve both amassed from the local bookstores; a majority of Colin’s personal library comes from his father who passed his love of reading to his children.

We live right on site in the building; James’ mother also lives in her own unit. You can rest assured that this place is home. Someone is available at nearly anytime to help. Whether is it with finding a specific book or asking for restaurant suggestions, we’re just a call or text away.
